Abrams Star Trek - Critical Error!

Anyone else think Chris Hemsworth would have been a 10x better James Kirk than uber douchebag Chris Pine.

WTF has Chris Pine done since Trek? Nothing because he sucks.

I had that thought upon first seeing the movie 3 years ago, that Kirks dad would have been better (and yes more season one shatner like) then Pine, and that was before THor and all the other stuff.

He did that movie, Unstoppable, which my sister thoroughly enjoyed.

Appearance isn't everything. I've never seen Helmsworth do a role that required him to have Kirk's signature swagger. I think Pine was the right choice.

But JJ Abrams cast him in Fringe instead.

btw If Chris Pine really wants to pay tribute to Shatner he should put on 30 pounds and wear a girdle in the next Star Trek

I think that guy nailed Kirk, hemsworth was too serious. There was great casting all around in that movie.

I thought he was good in unstoppable.

I was fine with his performance in JJs Star Trek.

I also liked Hemsworth as Thor and lets face it Kirk was never built like Thor. So I think they got it right.
