Glanced at some of the mainstream news channels and the extend that they are covering "Biden old and we mad" vs the most momentous week in Supreme Court history in my lifetime is something. We're really back in Hillary's Emails stage.
"But we're just a smol bean media outlet that can't shape the narrative and people are just asking questions about his age. We're never going to convince Trump supporters anyway and that stuff is obvious. Now back to 'Is Biden too old, Part VIII'."

The Supreme Court may have just functionally ended American democracy but we asked three sheet metal workers in Indianapolis if they have misgivings about President Biden's age.

Yeah, I was trying to find Biden's statement on youtube, click on the CBS video, it showed 15 seconds of his statement and all the rest was about the debate. Fucking insane. The USSC literally just tore up the constitution and they are talking about Biden being old.

Joe: Executive Order, Official Act, Abortion is now legal in all 50 states and may not be restricted in any way by any state.

USSC: Uh ... wait ... uhh .....

You want to fix this and fast? Biden issues a ton of executive orders the Repubicans don't like. Then proposes Constitutional Amendments to fix this mess and tells the states to either ratify them or there will be no elections in November for president.

Do you not realize this decision is also very bad for Republicans too?

It's bad for EVERYONE no matter what party, color, or gender you are.

EDIT:

Except it's good for one orange republican.

Well if you plan to become President and never relinquish control, then this decision doesn't hurt you at all.

So the supreme court has made Biden ultimate power in the U.S. for the next six months. What sort of sweeping changes can we expect? Abortion free and legal in all 50 states seems like a given. A total revamp of immigration policy should be on the list as well. Maybe legalize all drugs and institute federal treatment centers?

This is it, this is the democrats chance to do everything they've ever wanted to do. God Emperor Joe has the tools and the time, I can't wait to see what he does with them.

That’s not what the ruling says at all. It doesn’t give the president power to implement any policy he wants, that still takes Congress.

What the opinion says is Biden can commit any crime he wants and so long as he commits that crime using the powers of the presidency he is immune. Biden should probably have Trump killed as SCOTUS confirmed he would be immune from prosecution for doing so. Really, while he’s at it he should have the six conservative justices killed too and fill the vacancies with more responsible judges.

People trying to mitigate this disaster of a decision keep claiming this isn’t the case but tellingly none of them can point to anything in the decision to support it. It’s very clear - the person in charge of upholding the law is the only person not bound by it.

I'm astonished! Do you really mean that a group of socialist's won't be swayed by a single moderate voice? That an opinion they don't like will be ignored or even insight anger? That even hearing a dissenting point of view will spin some of them off into the last bastion of the stupid? (I'll tell you what that is if you can't figure it out).

The fact that you have no idea what is going on would be funny if it wasn't so sad.

Biden wouldn't do that even if he could, because what you're finding out is that Both Sides are not in fact the same.

There is a Constitutional process to remove Presidents who commit crimes, for those of us with any faith left in the Constitution. Don't forget that even members of Congress are explicitly afforded sweeping immunity in Article I, Section 6, Clause 1, so it follows that Presidents should possess at least this degree of immunity and probably more, since they have to make decisions that cause deaths, such as the ones Obama made in late 2011 that caused the death of 4 Americans. No one is calling for him to be punished for this, nor should he be.

Yes, there is a de jure process for removal, but as we have seen, that process effectively does not work.

This clause is non-functional and we should not pretend that it's useful. Such is the case for a number of so-called safeguards in the constitution that were at least superficially intended to prevent the rise of a king. Shit doesn't work.

There is no provision for presidential immunity in the Constitution. The court made it up of whole cloth.
