I know there have been a few threads recently about this, but below $100 for this player is an awesome deal.

1.) EggHead has this player in stock for $174.99 here

2.) Price match with Staples.com here

3.) Apply a $30 off $150 coupon.

4.) Send in $50 rebate here

Final price is $94.99 + tax.

Whoa, am I going crazy here? There is apparently another $50 rebate that Iomega is offering. Is it possible to utilize both? Here is the link to the actual rebate, and here is the Iomega rebates info page.

the thing w/ the staples rebate is, as debated before, a lot of ppl were getting away w/ sending in a copy of the UPC.

a 100MB zip would suck for a portable.. these "pocket zip" (ie, click discs) are like the size of CF cards.. a bit bigger i think.

This isn't a storage device, rather, it's an MP3 player that takes Clik! disks instead of SmartMedia. If I was going to get another mp3 player, this is the one I'd get, as the media is fairly cheap (when it comes to mp3 player media).

just called em, and they said they wouldn't price match something if the rebate offer brings it under the competitor's posted price. And where is the 30 off 150 coupon?

and i'm pretty sure those $50 rebates are one and the same. They both end on June 30, but that could just be a coincidence.

since the rebates do go to two different addresses, you could tell staples that there is rebate if you purchase from the egghead site, so therefore the prices would be equal....if they allow that, then pricematch it with egghead, (dont' know how much shipping is, free only with 200+ on egghead) and then try to see if you can get both rebates
not really sure if the two rebates can both be used, although staples generally accepts copies of UPCs. anyone have any ideaS? if the deal can be brought down to 49.99 then i'm jumpin on it for sure!

Anyone actually attempt this? if someone calls first, 80 bucks for this player is still pretty good.
someone has to confirm that both the rebates work.

That's true. At the very worst you only get $50 back.

if the dual rebates dont work, you can still send in one, and use a 40 off 200 coupon and nab it for $110, or pricematch to buy.com and get it for $100. but if it were $50, i would order now =)

guys read what i said earlier. I CALLED THEM and they said that they wouldnt PM it because of the rebate offer. however, you can use the 40 off 200 and get it for 110 + ~15 tax after the MIR.

I'm really thinking about getting this, but I don't know how often I'd use it. plus I heard about Iomega releasing 100 mb clik drives and disks soon...

Staples will accept copies of UPC when the manufature offers another rebate within the same period of time.

Staples has also never mentioned that no other offers form iomega would be valid.
