Yes I am aware it has been in the works for a while now, but like any complacent person, unless it's directly affecting me, I'll pay no mind to it. Well anyway google forced upon me today their hideous new interface. I can appreciate improvements to their site a few they've made over the years such as letting me search by time frame (say search results you'd get in 2005), but their new interface with the new buttons and layout and excessive use of AJAX just screams to me change for the sake of change.
Anyway when I stumbled upon that blog, they had a javascript that you can paste into the browser that will allow you to test out that new google interface. Well in my case, I already have been forced to use the new google interface when I found the link to that blog. So I figured, what the heck, why not try out that script and see what happens...
Well it turns out, using that script, which is suppose to enable the new interface seems to now be capable of reverting back to the old interface if you've already been forced to use the new one. Weird stuff but awesome nonetheless. So while I'm happy to use the Old, less "busy" and not so apple/vista/chrome esque version, I have a bad feeling this joy ride isn't going to last for long and I'll eventually be forced to use the "new and improved!" google interface because some people can't help themselves from changing things just for the sake of it.
