AC 7 pro enough?

I've ordered the parts for my first ever build. That includes Gigabyte p35-DSL, antec 900, q6600, 2x1GB gskill ddr2 800, corsair 520. I'm thinking about trying to reach 3.0 Ghz with this setup.

I'm trying to get a heatsink that will be relatively quiet, and will keep things cool enough. I don't have a fixed budget but would like to keep it relatively cheap because I'm not going for a maximum overclock. Would the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro be enough to keep temps low enough (Link). Thanks for any help.

To answer your question, yes. I am using the AC7 Pro myself (see sig) and it is running great.

Both the Thermalright and the Scythe are better coolers but in terms of price/performance, I went with the AC Pro 7. It is much better than using stock cooling I tell you.

FYI, The AC Freezer 7 Pro is a relatively noisy cooler, if you believe the reviews. It is still a great cooler for the money, but keep this tidbit in mind when you do your shopping

After doing some more research I'm now looking at Thermalright Ultima-90 .
Anyone have any experience with this one? It seems to have pretty good reviews.
Also which type of fan would be best? 92 or 120mm?

I have the AC 7 on my E6400 running at 3.2. Under my normal gameplay load, I never get above 45*C unless the room is a little warmer than normal. If that happens, the fan speeds up to about 2000 rpm and that is when it starts to get noisy. Otherwise the fan is spinning at 1700 rpm and I can barely hear it. If the computer is at idle, the fan is at 1400 rpm or lower and you can't hear it at all.

For $17 (when i got it) it was a great deal IMO.

I'm looking for something that can keep temps low enough to do a mild overclock, but I know the Q6600 runs hotter than the dual cores. It is a good deal, but I'm not sure if it can handle a quad a 3.0.

Just ordered it from Newegg for $20 and can't wait to put it on my rig. Got an e4400 @3 Ghz and really need to cool it down a bit.

Well I think I'm changing my mind yet again. The Tuniq Tower 120 looks like a good option, also not a bad price right now. Does anyone know if it would fit ok in a Antec 900 with a Gigabyte p35-DSL?

No problem!

The Antec Nine-Hundred is a Behemoth!

Tower 120 coolers will fit in almost anything...

EDIT

Here are some purdy pics for you if you don't believe me (several Tuniq Tower 120 rigs).

My favorite! Looks like something I would build!

gah... VERY BAD choice for quads.

You need to look at the beefier sinks. Trust me, you'll want the overhead room on quads.

Thermalright 120 or the Extreme.
Tuniq Tower.

I had a ultima90 on a quad. Replaced that with a TR120, then replaced that again with water. I keep asking myself why did i go back to air. :T

On my Passive HTPC which is a E6400, I have a Thermalright Ultra120 <--- the one off my quad, and i can run that on passive without a fan at stock settings. But thats a dual core.
