I picked up an Acard ANS-9010 and a 9012. They are both pretty neat.

Here is a quick ANS-9010 vs iRam comparison:

If anyone is interested in a contact at Acard/2SAN so they can buy their own, please post a reply. The ANS-9010 is essentially a newer version of an iRAM box that uses DDR2 and uses a different backup strategy.

If anyone at Anandtech is interested in borrowing my drives for a review, please send me a personal message or an eMail.

Nice! Have been looking for some time for a HW like this.
Gigabyte's production is a bit disappointing because of the SATA1 speeds.

ANS-9010 has a nice price tag (bad nice). And if you add the price you have to pay for the 8x2GB memory modules... For that amount you could grab several SSD modules.
But who cares (I don't but maybe somebody does). For me, ANS-9010B would be the most suitable version. I need it for benching only and integrated RAID controllers will stop responding after certain speeds. Maybe OEM versions can manage better, have not tested them.

I also went through several reviews, including yours and there are some weird stuff like: back up function. So it needs at least the same size of CF as internal memory added regardless of actual amount used. (You had 8x2048MB modules = a bit more than 16GB) Etc.

I think, I?ll grab the ANS-9010B version and find out by myself. I guess, I would be the first one in my country
