Accelero X1 on an 8800GT?

Hey everyone, quick question.

I've searched around and haven't found anyone discussing this, probably for good reason (someone is going to say "just buy a _____!!!")...

but I have an Accelero X1 installed onto my 6800GT whose cooling system became obnoxiously loud.

These 8800GTs are out now and looking like maybe just the right time to upgrade, but in my recent push to quiet down my system, going back to a stock VGA cooler won't help! Wondering if the Accelero X1 can be somehow attached, or if the card layout is THAT different?

Someone over at hardocp/overclockers.com installed an AC Accelero S1 passive cooler on the 8800gt. If the mounting holes are the same, it should work.

Ah... and Arctic Cooling never said the S1 model was compatible with 8800GT, right?

So really just the mounting holes are the only thing that ever constitutes the need for a new model of cooler I suppose? (unless of course a cooler isn't capable of cooling a card for thermal reasons...)
