I have an amd rx 470 4gb red devil gpu. The card seems to want to stay on 47% fan speed at idle, which brings it down to 28C degrees and keeps it there. This was annoying me a bit, but since there is not yet any official open source tool in linux to tweak the settings of the card, i had to compile a gui tool from:
https://github.com/marazmista/radeon-profile
With this tool i can set the fan speeds manually to any speed i want and then when i game i just set it back to auto fan speed. Now my question is what is an acceptable idle temp for a gpu, so that i would not be hurting the card when i set the custom fan speed? When i set it to 27%~ fan speed, it sits at around 40-46C temperature when browsing the internet etc. Is that an acceptable temperature, or should i set the fan speed a bit higher?
