Access w98 shared printer from w2k

I have a problem with my home network. My laptop is unable to see my printer that is shared on my win98 machine. The laptop is joined to a domain but is using cached credentials since it cannot talk to the work domain controller when at my house

I can map shared drives, I use this script to do it:
map_drives.vbs

If I log locally onto the w2k laptop then I can print but If I am logged onto the domain I can't.
The win898 machine is in a workgroup.

Any ideas?

You should be able to map the printer (net use) similar to your drive. Make sure you have the security pass correct from whatever is on the W98 host share for that printer.

Try something like this from the command prompt or batch file:

Net Use LPT2 \\home\printersharename

With VB, could be like the following:
Set WshNet = CreateObject("WScript.Network")
WshNet.AddWindowsPrinterConnection "\\home\printersharename"
