Accessing another windows machine remotely

I use Windows 7, and this machine at my workplace is Windows XP, please let me know any ways to remotely access the desktop and everything of Windows XP machine through the Windows 7 machine at my home. Thanks,

likely impossible due to firewalls and what not, but you could try using remote desktop if your version of xp is profession (it should be considering its a workplace pc)

thanks fellows for your replies, the thing is i am the admin on both PCs so the firewall and other issues is not a problem. I will give TeamViewer a try.

Is this at a company where you work, or a company that you own? The reason I ask is because if you're an employee of the company, they may have security policies that don't allow you to do this (or only allow it with a specific program/method). If this is the case, you should ask the IT department for permission and instructions to do it properly on their network.

If it's a small office that you own (or have permission to do whatever you like to connect from home) then teamviewer or gotomypc should work nicely.

LogMeIn has worked great for me. It also loads up faster than remote desktop.
