Accessing network from external IP

Hello all,

I have a NanoStation which connects to other nanostations forming a wireless network. Each nanoStation is connected to a switch with some other devices.

One NanoStation acts as an Access Point. If I connect the Access Point to my laptop I can connect to every device on the network by typing the IP in the browser (all devices have port 80 open)

I want to connect the the Access Point to a router so I can connect to the network from an external IP.

For example, I have one device with IP 192.168.1.100 and the router's IP (provided by ISP) is 95.31.26.12 (random number)

and I tried to map a port to a local Ip address.

for example 95.31.26.12:200 should connect to 192.168.1.100 (on the internal network) but It does not work

Is port forwarding the right way to go or I should try something else?

I need a little more information.
What is currently giving out the addresses of items on the network?
Are they all statically set or is there already a router with dhcp?
Is the LAN subnet of the router you have connected to the ISP on the same subnet as your current network?
Is the LAN address of the ISP router set as the gateway for everything that needs public access?

Once you have those things down, it should be simple port forwarding.

It would be better for you not to advertise free access to your network on the internet.

As for your question, if you can connect to your router from the outside, you might be able to go from there to other devices. Or your can port forward to a device on the internal network that has access to other devices. You might also want to look at VPN solutions.

Again though, remove the IP address you are trying to forward since well.... this is the internet.

To access a computer or other device from remote through the Internet you need an Application running on this device/computer that it is configured with unique port and the Router's port is opened toward the IP of the computer.

Many general devices like Cameras and NAS' might have something build in to be accessed from remote. A regular computer (running Windows as an example) is not accessed through its general interface, it need running an App (like Remote Desktop) for this purpose.
