I've been trying to solve my sync problem with iPhone for 3 weeks and tried 4 different software: gSyncit, Akruto, Companionlink and Wondershare TunesGo.
gSyncit
Pros:
- Support for Android and iOS
- Price ($19)
Cons:
- Works by pushing data to Google account (doesn't work for me)
- No "offline" mode with Wi-Fi or USB
- Need to install a few apps on your phone to host Outlook notes and tasks
Akruto
Pros:
- Support for Android, iOS and Windows Phone
- Automatic syncing via Wi-Fi or over the Internet without using cloud services
- SSL encryption
- Works with smartphone's native apps
Cons:
- Price ($34.95)
Wondershare TunesGo
Pros:
- Can backup photos, music and SMS
Cons:
- Syncing is not automatic. Each time you want to sync Outlook with iPhone you need to go through this "Export/Import" pain.
- No support for calendar, notes and tasks.
- Price ($39.95)
Companionlink
Pros:
- Works with both Android and iOS devices
- Supports syncing via Wi-Fi, USB, Cloud
- Syncing is automatic
Cons:
- Price ($49.95)
- Requires extra app on your device to host Outlook data
After the first week, I decided to continue with Akruto and Companionlink to see how they work in Wi-Fi mode. The experience was pretty similar except when you need to find something from your Outlook on your mobile device. It's much easier to work with Outlook data from your native phone's apps without switching each time you need 'Outlook" or "non-Outlook" contacts or appointments. While Akruto is cheaper, I'd say it's a better option.
