Accidentally deleted my Overlord 2 profile!

hey

I just deleted my overlord 2 profile by mistake! :S any ideas you people have that i can recover it ? i just can play it from the beginning! my games folder still have files from that deleted profile though .

recycle bin--select file, hit Restore

If you have Vista or Win7, you should be able to do a Restore previous version (If you didn't disable Shadow Storage)

The easiest is definitely the Recycle Bin -> Restore method, but if you're like me and have the bad habit of doing permanent deletes (hold shift when you delete), I've had tremendous luck with NTFS Undelete

Pretty self explanatory, but when you attempt to restore the deleted files try to restore them to a different partition or possibly a thumbdrive if possible. Whenever you are trying to restore data you want to prevent as many writes to that disk as possible to prevent your stuff being overwritten with new files.

menu? so you deleted shortcuts? confused

edit< oh nevermind, you mean ingame. Can't help you there, but that profile is linked to some folders/ in your mydocuments, I would assume.

Its not that bad really! may be i say it because haven't played the first overlord . In my opinion reviews have been kind of harsh for this game

I had the same problem, and I just figured out how to fix it.

Under My Documents\My Games\Overlord II there is a saves folder. Even though I had accidentally deleted my profile, the saves folder was still there. I went back into the game and created a new profile, then exited and copied the files from the old saves folder into the new one. Now I can pick up from where I left off. Hope this helps if you haven't already uninstalled!
