Accidentally made enemies with my neighbor

I live in an apartment complex...and all the units share a laundry room. I bring my laundry to the washing machines and notice they are all full. One of the washers indicated that it had finished its cycle. So I opened it, and started taking out somebody's cleaned clothes and put them on a laundry table.

This guy who apparently lives there enters the room, sees his clothes on the table and me loading into the same washer and blows a gasket. I mean really pissed off that I touched his clothes. I told him "well buddy u cant let your cleaned clothes sit in the washers we all have to share. They have a timer on them so you knew when they would be done." I've never seen someone so pissed off over something so minor. Just get your clothes out of the washer on time and nobody will touch your precious items. Lol...

Well I even waited 5-10 minutes and his stuff is just sitting there preventing me from getting on with my laundry. In the middle of him carrying on I interrupted him and said I should be mad at him, that I had to unload his clothes for him and had to touch his underwear. Next time get your laundry out so others don't get disgusted.

Perfection has nothing to do with it. Why should someone wait for 5 minutes? There are people who leave their laundry in the machines for hours. Waiting 5 minutes is just wasting time.

It's fine if something comes up; it's also fine that if something comes up and causes you to be gone when the load of laundry finished, that someone who's waiting on the machine can move your clothes out of the machine and onto a laundry table.

If the OP had thrown them onto the floor or something, then I can see why the guy would be upset. But he simply moved them from the washing machine to a table. No harm done.

no, the people who don't get their shit out are the dicks. i don't understand your argument, if someone puts them on a clean surface there's nothing really to complain about. 50% of the people in the dorms would do their laundry then forget about it for HOURS. yeah, let's just wait around for them to remember to come get their shit before we can do our laundry.

how can you possibly know it will ONLY be 5 minutes? If you put laundry in the washer, be there to take it out when it's done.
