Why does that require making a new account? I'm sure we all have old games in our library that aren't being played anymore.

This is the single biggest Steam weakness, in my opinion. There is no way to "delete" games from your library. That's one thing that Origin does well......

Just view by Installed, you god damn morons.
Once you realize that the person is complaining about a software listing products, that he spent money hard earned money on, properly. It makes any response kind of useless. He didn't want a fix, he wanted to pimp Origin in a Steam thread.

Why would you want to "delete" a game from your library? You can remove the local content any time you want. Then all you have is a listing showing you own the rights to install again at a later date.

September 22, 2003 for me (when it was in Beta, for CS 1.6)...

My profile is so old, my username is my e-mail address from teenage days (can't change it...)

I just have a "never play again" grouping within my library and move games there when I'm ready to never play them again.

I'm an OG - September 12, 2003 ... Apparently it doesn't back-track to when you were in the beta though, as I was in that pretty soon after it was put up.

Nov 17, 2004. Longer than I realized. At first I was kind of leery of steam back in the day, having to be online to play a single player game was just crazy back then.

Because I don't play multiplayer games. I currently have like six Red Orchestra-related game icons in my library. Only one of them is the single-player game. It's a real pain in the ass to find the right "game" to launch.

In addition, there are some games that I have finished that I know I will never touch again (Overlord, Bastion, Half Life ....to name a few). I don't want them cluttering up my library.

In addition, Humble Bundles often come with games that just....aren't for me. I got a Humble Bundle for Costume Quest. It came with Stacking. Stacking is......stupid in my opinion. But I get to look at the Stacking Icon every time I look at my library because Steam won't let me delete it......

You are incorrect. I hate Origin.

And no, I didn't spend hard earned money on some of the clutter in my library. For example, Steam gave me a copy of Portal (when I first signed up). But they also gave me Half Life 2 Deathmatch or some crap like that. I won't ever touch it. But I get to see it every time I open my library.......

It's a simple feature (deleting something from your library). Crapware like Origin can do it. Awesomeware like Steam can't. I DO want a fix.

Your Steam library must be set to a different view then mine (I didn't know you could change it honestly). I just have a list of games on the left panel and a big center area that shows information about whatever I have highlighted. The list on the left is sorted alphabetically so finding games is pretty easy. In addition, games that aren't currently installed have their names faded out. Isn't this how yours looks? If not maybe you should try it! Even with all of the junk I will never play, almost my entire library shows up in the list without the need to scroll around.

I guess I can see your point however if you have six Red Orchestra listings and they are all currently installed. I haven't run into that yet.

September 3, 2004. I remember preordering HL2 and was one of the people that attempted to download everything before it launched. It still took it hours after it 'unlocked' to finish downloading those last bits. I remember thinking Steam was going to be the worst DRM ever made. I still am on the fence about it, as while it's better than 95% of other DRMs it's still DRM.
