AC/DC up to and including the Back in Black album rules GnR. They kicked ass for a much longer period of time, without all the ridiculous Axl antics. Of course, AC/DC went straight downhill with Brian Johnson doing a shriller cat-in-heat imitation with each new album, but up until then then they were consistently a quality ass-kicking hard rock band.

at least GnR has a few good songs, and they are actually different songs. AC/DC has one bland and boring song, which they play over and over. they also have the wimpiest, weakest, thinnest, and most nasal "rock" guitar sound of all time. how they managed to make a gibson and a marshall sound that horrible is beyond me.

Actually he changed his name to William Axl Rose when he learned his birth father's surname was in fact Rose. Bailey was his stepfather's last name.

Um first of all it's "Axl" not Axel. He's not an Eddie Murphy character. As far as I'm concerned the remaining ACDC members can all suffer the same fate as the original singer. If you're going to flame a legend at least have the decency to spell his name correctly.

Why talk about something you don't know anything about? Spoiled? Learn something about him and what actually happened at that concert. Flipping burgers? He has enough money do to whatever the hell he wants, he probably used the least drugs from anyone in GN'R and probably in any 80s band. He's a legend because he was one of the greatest performers and frontmen of all time, he is a great lyricist and has such a dynamic voice and stage presence.

Rose is his real last name. It was his real father's name.
