SIGH. huge huge tragedy. Most everyone here are good people, or at least people with good intentions to live out honest, work-filled/career, familial, and respectable lives.

It sucks that one of our peers' life was cut short due to the negligence of another. This is extremely unfortunate, and very very sad. All I can say is that, AceMcMac was a recognizable poster from my point of view; so even though I have never met the guy in real life, he's still a living person who probably lead/willlead similar lives as the rest of us (there's always something common that has brought everyone to this board). I hate it when people who will live potentially successful and happy lives have their lives cut short like this.

My he Rest in Peace.

That other thread about sunrise + this is really surreal, and sad. You did not die unrecognized.

Well said, hit the nail on the head.

How awful.

I'm not too active on here, but spend a decent amount of time browsing the forums in general, and can recall many threads where he made a funny or otherwise interesting contribution. Strange how never knowing or conversing with the guy, news of this sort still literally hurts as compuwiz put it. Guess that's when you know you're a part of a community.

RIP Richard, best wishes for a speedy recovery to the other victim, and my condolences for all those related to and friends of those involved in this tragedy.

It's not fair that the drunk driver almost always lives and that his innocent victims usualy suffer fatal injuries. It should be the other way around.

Wow, such a terrible thing. I don't really know what to say. He seemed like a really good guy. I suppose this just underscores our mortality. It's something we all need to think about. RIP, buddy.

My condolences to the family and friends and may the other victim get well again.

I hope the driver never ever gets close to a steering wheel again... 0.24% is almost five times the legal limit here... Totally irresponsible

We are grieving this loss, as a community. You are great people. Thank you all for caring so much.
It reminds me, that I should never let a day go by, where my family is not let known how much I love them.

What is so wrong here, is parents should not outlive their children.

They must feel terrible. God, please be with them.

Anyone with even one iota of common sense, one shred of intelligence, should understand not to get into a car when you're drunk. We've been raised to understand never to drive drunk, from police officers telling us in elementary school to TV commercials to magazine ads to your friends, and somehow this piece of garbage goes out and does it anyway. It absolutely blows my mind.

and the sad thing is, for most of england, the cops care more about catching motorists speeding than anything else

speeding 95% or more of the time isnt even dangerous

drink driving is dangerous pretty much 100% of the time, im thankful that where i live in the UK at least, they realise this. we barely have speed cameras, instead we have more patrol cars

Oh God.

This is awful...

I know he's just a messageboard acquaintance for most of us, but it hits home that we are all real behind these posts, and in an instant any one of us could be gone.

RIP acemcmac
