This is the best price I've seen for a 22" 1080P monitor!

I'd buy one if I had the money! I'll probably need one this size some time.

I think it's a great size and would be perfect for hooking up an HD cable box for a bedroom. or like me, for a second or third computer monitor for video editing!

Pretty good deal. I hopped on the EMachines they had on Black Friday that was $90 - $25 coupon = $65. Same specs as this one.

I just got the LCD and I'd say it's a pretty good deal for the money spent. its contrast ratio is actually 50,000:1 per the manual and box. the 21.5" screen real estate for the 1920*1080 resolution feels just right. has the same viewing angle issues that all TN LCDs have.

in comparison to my current 22" LCD ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-124-_-Product ), the X213H has noticeably better whites (makes my current LCD's whites look like trash in comparison actually), is noticeably brighter, the anti-glare coating can be noticed, and back light bleeding is noticeable on a black wallpaper.

I've seen a review remarking on blurry text and washed out colors, but text doesn't seem blurry at all on the LCD's native resolution and colors don't seem washed out to me.

regarding stuck or dead pixels, there was 1 stuck pixel that went away after some finger pressure.

Ordered one Sunday night and got it today. Will make a nice Xmas present for my dad.

If he can read it. I ordered the Acer P224Wbd Black 22" 5ms Widescreen LCD Monitor with 1680x1050 resolution from new egg for $119 shipped but I got a 10% BCB to lower it $12 and then I had a 420 credit at New Egg they gave me for screwing up my last order. I wanted that resolution though. I have one of those Soyo 24" LCD's with the 1920x1200 resolution and a lot of text is almost too small for my eyes.

Plus this monitor5 is for a mostly gaming machine and I only have a 512mb version of the 4870 to drive it. If I would have had a 1GB version I probably would have gotten one of those Asus 23" 1080p LCD's.

Edit. : The m onitor I got is still for sale for $119 shipped if anybody is interested.

This is probably a stupid question, but I know very little about LCD monitors:

The resolution on that monitor is just a little less than HD (1080). Does this mean you can't really get true HD? What effect, if any, does this have on HD movies?

I'm currently using a 4:3 19" LCD monitor. I want to upgrade, but I want a monitor that allows me to watch HD movies on it with reasonable quality.

this is a 1080p compatible monitor... it is the native res for the monitor... as mentioned above, text at native res on this monitor is kind of small, but incredibly sharp... i am an old guy, and am starting to need glasses to read the newspaper, but can read text on this monitor fine from 18'' away...

it's great for playing movies in 1080p on... the small pixels make it great for gaming, too, since you can get by with less or no aa due to the small dot pitch...

If you're refering to the 1680x1050 monitor I bought I guess i don't know how it will handle a 1080p signal? I'm only planning on gaming and web cruising with the system it will be on. Maybe someone else can answer that question?

I ordered this on Monday but the order got canceled for being out of stock. I'll probably order the 23" when it goes on sale on Sunday for $140 - $25 = $115+tax

P.S. even though it doesn't have hdmi, I can still connect it using a DVI/HDMI adapter right?

should work, but might be a tight fit in the back of the monitor...

Is this a Staples add?

"Not available in all stores" - In store only?

Where do you get a $25 off coupon from? The only Staples $25 off $75 coupon I have found expired yesterday.

If this is from Staples, they're already out of stock (and it's listed at $179 online).

Newegg also has the same model for $169....but also OOS.

If this is the Acer H243H they are talking about... it is fantastic.

I bought it for $190 on the egg a few months ago.

Mine came with a VGA cable and HDMI cable in the retail packaging though... seems that may have changed.

The H models all have the hdmi cable and speakers.

I have an H213H and it came with dvi, hdmi etc. the X models have no speakers and some models have no hdmi port.
