Just returned from CC. The 40.00 discount is no problem, BUT, they didn't have any except "It's on the truck to be delivered." AND "That one will be a display model unless somebody buys it."......Which I did.
I guess I'll be checking it out tomorrow.

No problem. I'm using DVI, but CRTs use analog and they can go to much higher resolutions than that. It's probably your video card, or drivers. What video card do you have? If it's integrated, how old is it?

can you order this online and then have the price adjusted once it arrives at the local store?? or is there anyway to input the code online?

I went to circuit city, the closet 22" acer was an hour away, but while I was there I saw the Xerox 92-D and that was so much better looking as far as quality..I struggled over size verses quality, and quality won...They didn't even blink over the coupon...It wouldn't scan in like another person said, but they just price adjusted it, and didn't even ask where I got it. By the time they matched their internet price and the 40.00 coupon, it brought the xerox monitor to 243.99 (before tax). Does anyone know if there is a rebate on it?

Scored one. No dead pixels, but I am seeing some light "bleeding" at the top of the screen. So far I'm pretty impressed.

Thanks OP.

I am going to skip it. Monitor already has a 3 year warranty. Hope to go tomorrow to pick this monitor up. I had already been looking at it for the past 2 weeks was just waiting for a sale.

After 3 years that LCD will not have much value left. Also, even if CC advantage protection offers in-store exchange, I would spend $50 on a Costco membership instead (if there's one around your area). The Costco's liberal exchange policy is far better than other protection plan that's offer by the store. Every couple months the Costco also have great deals on the mid-range LCD & TVs.

Yep, it was the video card. Its a built-in trident some-piece-of-junk on my work machine. I brought the monitor in to test it out, i was really excited.

I ended up getting 3 of them. I got one for a friend of mine who loves it.

As far as the monitor goes, there are no bells and whistles on this monitor. No usb, no component, nothing fancy. Just an analog and DVI plug in. The one I opened had a dead/stuck pixel (it was red all the time), but wasnt really that noticeable unless I went out of my way to look for it. Played a few games and didnt notice any ghosting issues. There is a little bit of light bleeding at the top though. Overall, it seems like a great deal.

I got two for myself sitting here unopened, but im contemplating returning them. I figured it would be cheaper/more space than gettting a single 24" as I really need them for programming/code development. It seems like this size doesn't give me enough vertical space, and I get oh so tired of scrolling through hundreds of lines of code.

i'm not concerned about the bells and whistles, but i am concerned about picture quality

good contract and natural blacks

how would you rate the quality of the picture for this Acer?

Can it handle heavy first person shooter type gaming?

Elder Scrolls Oblivion type graphics?

thanks

btw - just got one

the reprinted coupon worked fine at store

great colors and brightness ... really sharp ... blacks and greys are very clear

i don't see in bleed through on mine but i've only had it for an hour

stand isn't adjustable at all and is pretty flimsy ... leans forward so screen looks tilted down almost.

You can tilt the screen so it doesn't lean so much.

Mine has some light bleeding at the top but I'm not sure if it's worth it to take it back and try another as it might be worse and could possibly have dead pixels (mine doesn't). It doesn't bother me unless the screen is near black.

Does anyone have a link that shows typical light bleeding on an LCD? This is the first I've ever owned so I don't know what to expect. Other than that I love it. It's going to take some time to adjust from a 21" Sony CRT (going on computer #2) but I'll get used to it.

I'm thinking about picking up one of these this afternoon for the wife. I have the $40 Off coupon I hope to use on this purchase. Anyone that used the coupon successfully have any words of wisdom for me.

It looks like a decent LCD for home office use. My wife is not a gamer!!!

Go for it.
I just got mine hooked-up and so far, so good.
I don't think I have any stuck/dead pixels.

Picked one up last night. Very nice 22" LCD for $278 otd. There does seem to be some minor light bleeding at both top and bottom, but the blacks really seem to be black at least compared to my old CRT monitor. It's obviously not the "Top Of The Line" LCD, but for the money it is a very nice one. Also, no dead/stuck pixels on this one either.

i think all of these models have light bleed ...

i printed out the coupon and then scrumpled up the paper ..... also printed stuff on both sides so it would look more "newpaper-ish"

then i cut the coupon completely by the dotted line.

it looked pretty original ... worked fine
