This requires a little effort. Staples has the burner for $149.99. PM it with Target-sale.com where the burner is being sold for $114 + $9 shipping. Then use a $25 coupon. Staples currently offer $60 rebate.

So the final cost will be: Staples Price: $149.99 - $26.99 PM - $25.00 coupon - $60.00 rebate = $37.99

EDIT: Try PM from Staples B&M. Most likely Staff B&M staff are not aware of the rebate offer. If you PM from Staples.com on phone, you may be told they cannot PM the burner since there is $60 rebate offer.

Though Staples's site does not show the the MFR Part#, the picture on Pricegrabber is the same as the one on Staples.com. I assume the one from Staples is the same as the one from Compuvest. I don't sense any fraud involved in this deal.

If you are not allowed to use $25 coupon in Staples B&amp;M, there is a physical $20 off $100 coupon good for in-store. Then the price will be $47. Still a good deal.

The match with TargetUSA would be valid. You can go to your local Staples and enter it online there for instore pickup and use your coupon code then show them the printout from Target and get the price match.

No fraud and no problems with the coupon.

The part # of the drive may very well match the retail item, but that doesn't mean it is standard retail product. If I sell an item that's used, it has the same part number as a new retail boxed item, that doesn't make them the same! Clearly CompuVest site shows this as WHITEBOX, so it's either refurbished, demo, returns, OEM or other NON-RETAIL item. Notice that they mention this clearly, but other products are not listed this way.

I guess you've never seen PriceGrabber make a mistake? Hell, I find that they make a mistake on just about everything they list. I've found that they match up refurb's with new items, that they quote prices after rebate as the buy price and that they list products that the vendor doesn't carry. Bottom line, PriceGrabber is a source for searching for deals, they don't guarantee pricing, product or performance.

Before you ask others to do so, please be sure to open your EYES widely.

He is right! My bad and my apology to Bob61. I also believe Pricegabber once again makes a mistake by mixung up the retailed version with OEM.

Anyway, Mrchan has provided a better source for the PM. There is no point to argue anymore.
