I know you'v read about the acer 640u deal at officemax . my local office max was out of them. so I called office max to see if I could order one, they said they did not have the 640u but the 620p was on sale for $29.99 and with the $30.00 rebate its free. but the only catch was taxes and a $10 overnight shipping fee, that they would not reduce to ground shipping but if you spend $50 or more dollars shipping is free. deal ends 9/30. so hurry.

I guess that is cool if you don't mind a parallel scanner. I, personally, would spend an extra $30 to get USB.

Not to poo on your thread, but isn't the 620 also scanning at a lower resolution?
