You'll get used to it.

LCDs are quite different. I wasn't ready to get anything until after 'd been using laptop on-and-off for day-to-day tasks for a couple years. Now, it's not that big of a deal, though my eyes would hurt trying to use a LCD for any length of time, before.

Yeah, I'm already getting used to it.

The brightness of it isn't bothering me anymore, and I'm getting used to the little bit of motion blur. Just today I thought to myself, "You know what, that ain't so bad. What was I complaining about?"

The color on this thing is just amazing though.

Doh! Either the pixel just died, or I missed it before...but I definitely have two now. Bah, that stinks. I'm not sure if I should feel unlucky for having two dead pixels, or lucky because they are both off to the sides, hehe.

Just when I start getting some of the money together again...Newegg, throws the price back up to $290 plus shipping.
Then, it goes out of stock and THEN, I can't even find it there anymore...my bookmark redirects me to 'Suggested Products'.

What am I to do now?

It's obvious to me they raised the price cause they were getting low on stock. Newegg can be quite greedy sometimes and also offer some hot deals. So I guess it balances out. As for finding that monitor, I can't say you will, maybe used? <shrug>

Everyone I have found is for a refurbished monitor that has like a 1 month warranty or something like that.

I got it a month or so back at $200 and it is an amazing monitor. It looks better than my old 19" CRT and has a great amount of viewing space. Most games have widescreen support these days, too!

I'm really not happy with all this.

I need a good monitor if I do end up buying one. I like the idea of have true 8-bit for superior colour reproduction and a VA panel for great viewing angles.

Fantastic monitor if you can still find it... It's been discontinued.

95% used for gaming, and everything is absolutely perfect.

Why else would a monitor be open box on Newegg unless had excessive dead pixels? Person probably bought it, saw that it had 3 dead pixels, and unfortunately had to take the restocking fee.

Froogle has a few but they are all refurb - with the same possible issue as above.

Hope you find something Cheex - a lot of us (including me) probably wouldn't have this monitor right now if it wasn't for this post. Good karma is bound to give you something.

I bought this monitor on an impulse when Newegg had it for 199.99 with free shipping. It is a spectacular looking monitor, and not just for the money. I have one slight issue while gaming though. Particularly during FPS games there is a small amount of input lag which threw me off a bit at first. After googling the issue I discovered this is actually a known problem with the monitor. I have since grow used to it and am 100% happy with it.
