Hey everyone,
I was surprised this morning when my Acer aspire 8930 laptop was turned off. I tried pressing the power button and nothing happended. It seemed to be working well that past night (I probably last used it at around 11pm)
Specs - Acer aspire 8930 - http://www.pcworld.com/product/43961/aspire-as8930-6386-notebook.html windows 8.1 update 1
What I've tried. Taking out the battery. (with A/C plugged in) Unplugging everything, waiting a few minutes, plug a/c back in (nothing). Left the battery out for the day. Came back after work, tried everything again. Tried the techniques I got from searching (hold the power button for 30 seconds etc)
If I connect the a/c adapter to the power bar, the light on it comes up briefly and then fades away.
I swear I had a similar issue about a year ago, where I noticed that the a/c was plugged in but the windows was telling me that I was running off battery and it was down to 8%. I found a solution but I can't for the life of me find it again.
I'm due for a new computer but i'm trying to make it till black friday/christmas sales. I'm not holding my breath on reviving this laptop right now.
Thanks
