Yeah they
do look nice. I find that they have a quality look to them, but ya know looks can very deceiving sometimes. I would really like to be able to use one before i buy it, like how you would if you went into Best Buy, but there's nowhere here like that. :-( That's why i can only take people's word for it.
Could you ask your friend for me please which laptop he would recommend? I'm looking for one with a Pm, not necessarilly the Centrino package but i want a Pm because i would get better battery life. 512MB ram, altho i could get one with 256mb and always upgrade later. 15" display... 15.4 would definitely be better. At least a 40gb drive. DVD/CDRW... doesn't necessarilly have to be a DVD burner, but that would be a plus. And then all of the other usual stuff: wifi, usb2, firewire, parallel, vga, tv out, etc.
