I've been trying to figure this one out for quite a while. I can turn on the computer once and go to Windows 7. If I don't use the computer, after 1 minute it will shutdown and restart, but while trying to restart, it will shutdown within 2 seconds. And it keeps happening until I turn it off.
Now the weird stuff: Once I can get to Windows 7, as long as I use the computer, it will not turn off. I ran MEM86 - Successful. Prime95for 30 minutes - Successful. But as soon as I shutdown all software and let Windows 7 idle, it shutdowns and keeps doing the same thing as stated first.
I was able to spray some cold air on the CPU Cooler and it finally started. Fluk?? That doe snot explain why Prime95 was successful if the CPU overheat when in idle.
I checked the BIOS for voltage and everything looks good.
When the computer tries to restart, it seems that the BIOS resets, because it does not remember the startup order.
I tried a new PS without luck.
