I remember dropping a bit of sulfuric acid on my hand back in high school chemistry class and it hurts, but at least in a controlled environment you can clean it off and there is no damage done, imagine not being able to do anything, and this is more then a few drops...

Come to think of it, where do people even get sulfuric acid? You can't just go out and buy this at any random store.

Car batteries use sulfuric acid as the electrolyte, and it is not usually a gel, though it is usually diluted quite a bit with distilled water.

It's easily obtainable in the automotive industry for the purpose of lead-acid battery use though.

Beside car battery acid, muriatic acid is quite strong and easily found as swimming pool cleaner.

Muriatic acid is nice if you're trying to change pH but it's actually a very weak acid. It's not a strong oxidizer, so it won't melt your skin or anything like that. It just hurts... a lot.

Worst I've dealt with was nitric acid. It's difficult to pour because it will always run down the side of the bottle and I get it on my hands every damn time. It doesn't do much at first but after a few days my skin would turn yellow and start to peel off. Luckily it never did any permanent damage; the skin growing back never had scars or anything.

i bought industrial grade sa and hca at an industrial supply without any real proof that i was purchasing it for my company. walked in off the street and got 93% acid.

It most definitely would be worse if she were not as attractive originally. Her career (or at least beginning of her career) was based solely on her appearance. He permanently destroyed that appearance. If an ugly woman was an actuary and had acid poured on her face, she could still do actuarial work and would not have to completely start over from scratch. Not to mention she had been attractive her entire life probably and whether is right or not, probably used that in specific ways. Now she will have to learn how to do things over again, unlike an ugly girl would.

I'm not saying it's still not incredibly horrible for an ugly girl, but the used-to-be-attractive woman will have to work a lot more to TRY to get back to what she had before. Just saying.
