Acronis difficulties

I'm trying to upgrade to 2010 but it won't install. I've spent all day back and forth with their tech support to no avail. I've run their cleanup tool half a dozen times. I've manually uninstalled every registry key except one that can't be deleted and I've manually deleted every file and directory that had anything to do with Acronis. And it still won't install.

I had varying success with 2009 and thought 2010 would be better, but I'll never know if it won't install. Anyone have any experience with this? Any way of getting my money back?

2010 is my most hated product of the year so far.
It refused to work for a win7 install on a family members pc and today I encountered a win7 system where their new boot manager has made the drive completely lock up every tool I use to try to change the partitions. I can't even use gparted under linux. I have been going back and forth with support from western digital about what is going on. Apparrently their loader overwrote some code the drive uses when it boots. In the past drives stored all the firmware in chips the new ones store it on the platter and apparrently acronis isn't aware of that cause I got a dead drive from it.
I can access the smart and drive diagnostics and the drive says it is fine but I can't get anything to allow me to format it or change the partition structure.

Read the forums on the acronis site. Nothing but complaints about 2010.

They did their best to screw the product up. A backup solution that is as unreliable as TI2010 is as useful as condoms for eunuchs...

besr 2010 is flawless. server 2008 x64, VISTA, win7. you must be thinking acronis got better. while it is flashier - BESR 8 and 9 have been solid. server and desktop.
