when i did this yesterday afternoon, i registered, got pword and then serial, and went into my acct and dled the"ifnu lost ur disk"

I don't mean to go OT but to those who use Ghost ...

I used Ghost for years with 98SE.

I forget my version but it is supposed to work with XP.

I've never been able to get it to work with XP-PRO.

Does it make a difference if you boot from floppie or disc to run Ghost?

You boot from floppy or CD. You can't run it in XP, it is a DOS based program.
The latest ghost you can run from XP, but the DOS version is more reliable IMO.

Using TrueImage 9.1 here at work... knocks the pants off of anything else I've tried. We use it via CD, RIS and on certain workstations.

I use Drive Image 2002. In addition to making an image, I can use it to hide a partition or change the active primary partition.

I downloaded this. Thanks a lot for this post and providing a link.

I cannot seem to find such capabilities in it though. How do you change your active partition if you wanted to?

I filled out only the required fields on the registration form but haven't recieved any email from them.

I thought it was PC-DOS? Anyway, you using a USB keyboard? Check BIOS for options to support a USB keyboard (and mouse) in DOS.
Once you boot the floppies, then it should go through the driver loading stage, and finally the program itself. It should not even load win9x/XP at all.

It was a PS/2 keyboard.
I'll have to try it again in the future if I don't get a serial for Acronis TI7.

Appreciate it! Exactly what I need to upgrade my friends Laptop HDD. We're in the military and stationed overseas. He forgot to bring his Operating System CD. This got us out of a jam.

Did you check your spam/junk email folder? If it's not there, try another email address.

It was there.
I don't use hotmail much.
It usually puts so much crap in my inbox, I thought I had to flag email as junk before it would dump it there.
