yeah but it was bad when Obama did it.
No, i approved of it back then also. Russia, AKA the Soviet Union, Red China, Iran and other states are our enemies. End of story, we must constantly be on guard against their attacks whatever they are. We need to be ready to respond with measured force each time we're attacked and we need to be ready to respond with the full force of American military power.

You just see Russia as a recent political foe, i've seen Russia as threat to my nation, my people and my family and have for over 50 years. I'm old enough to have watched the Cuban missile crisis unfold with my family in our living room. You are late to the party.

My girlfriend went outside and crowded the streets when Gorbechev's tanks rolled in, so there is that. It wasn't me, personally, but I think I understand this at least as well as you in your comfy living room. ....not that those weren't some rather stressful days for the world.

IYO why has the right become so enamored with Putin? I noticed it started when Obama was elected.

Taj, should President Trump enforce the actions Congress put in place regarding Russia?
This is a yes or no type question

Personally I’m a little suspicious about our new member being so involved and so prepared, however he seems to post verifiably true stuff mostly. Gotta be careful around these parts

It’s good to be skeptical. Fact check things you’re unsure of, do you’re own thinking, draw your own conclusions.

There is an all out assault on truth currently going on in America and the best way to fight falsehoods is with truth.

One of the ultimate goals of active measures is to convert free democratic societies to a postmodern culture where objective truth no longer exists, all politicians are corrupt liars, and no one is to be trusted.

The United States just took a digital Pearl Harbor to the face and the government/social media platforms are doing next to nothing to suppress the ongoing attacks. Half the population doesn’t even acknowledge the attack. It will be up to everyday citizens to defend themselves. The Russian influence is here to stay. How America deals with it remains unknown.

When I start a thread on this forum claiming to be an expert on some topic and declaring I'm going to keep everyone informed, I will declare my verifiable bona fides for all to see.

When I claim on this message board I have been thrown off another, I will post my username and the board.

Someone already asked about alt identities. I answered his question. Your a mod, am I logging in with more than one account?

I haven't done anything to you. You can keep your coward innuendo to yourself.

Oooh, that's a call out!

Thank you for starting this thread. While I'm unsure of what will come if it, I think it will ultimately prove more effective than my calling people idiots for not directing their attention toward Russia. I was just listening to NPR this morning where someone was commenting on gun security in schools, stating the most important intervention is a culture of reporting but people want tangible interventions and are spending money on security systems instead. It's not enough to know better. I have hope you can make the threat and possible means for advocating against it much more tangible than I would be able to. That's not my strength. I'm an ideas guy. You're on to the right idea.

WITCH HUNT!

We all know that Trump colluded with Russia. Hillary's Russian dossier tells us so.

I had things to say about the Trump administration in my response but thought better of it. The thread's explicit intent is to have a non-partisan exploration of Russia's actions rather than political partisanship. There are a billion other threads where such discussions are pertinent. Can we stick to Russian actions in this one?

You mean why has the media become so attracted to him? I don't have a clue.
If by the media you mean Fox News. Their people people along with Republican politicians spent a lot of time extolling the virtues of Putin while at the same time denigrating our own President. Thought you would have noticed being clued into Russia really is our foe.

No, I have seen positive Putin pieces on CNN, NBC etc. It's not just one side at all.

I'd settle for the last 8 years but trying to remain civil here. "Patting myself on the back"
Can it only be Putin or does it include the medias fawning over Kim Yo Jong . Nothing like murdering your brother to get the left of center media sucking up to you.

All Americans were up 9% , or did you miss that? I'm happy to say that this particular Republican isn't one of them.

All Americans isn't relevant here. It's republicans who would put stock in what Trump has to say about Putin. And apparently plenty of them did as their approval of Putin went up +20 during the time Trump was talking him up. The cause-effect there is abundantly clear.
