While I have no doubts nVidia will continue their tradition of producing heaters cooled by self-contained air conditioning units, I find the burnt card rather strange. What, did they just plug it in and it fried itself? If so the card was obviously never a working sample.

They have pictures over there. If that is how the final version of the card looks, then the card's probably going to be compatible with Zalman VF700cu and Arctic-Cooling NV5 silencer GPU coolers. That'd be nice.

BFG, i have worked out, you have nothin good to ever say about anything, maybe your BFG card runs like a heater, you seem to forget ATI's new card had dual slot use with hot air going out rear of case, i for one think this is the best way, i dont need any my slots bar 1 and if a card dumps air outside it better for rest my hardware esp cpu as temps are lower.

Thats the reason the Japs have 900watt psu avail, but 700watt is bit more easyier to et today, we can get a 680watt Thermatake Purepower, not sure if it is enough to SLI 2 them cards and im 90% sure thats not the flagship, you wait till ATI launch, Nvidia always have a Ultra, there is no way flagship is a 430 core GPU.

dumb ass post of the year. 6800 ultra is only 425mhz core.

While they say it needs 150W, the core it's self won't put out that much - the memory on the 512mb version will probably use about 50W in it's self.
Still very high power requirements though, hopefully nvidia will respin it on 90nm.

At no point in my above post did i say a 6800 Ultra was 430mhz core, it was on the topic of the new Nvidia card, it wont have only 5mhz more when a Ultra appears after ATI launch.

The only thing that looks good about this card at all is the Dual DVI. It'd be nice if GPU makers would focus a little bit on power management.

cbehnken , i assumed most Ultras like my 6800 has dual dvi, some think its lessens picture quality to CRt using the dongle, i see no difference, well may be this new card will be dual dvi for all manu's.

I add im not really interested in this card, as i dont think it is the flagship, i wait and see and if that is what they try to give me in return for my broken PvP (works on mpeg2 now) i will say no give me my £410 back i paid. (yes i won my action against Chaintech/Nvidia for my purevideo crap) they can fight it out who pays me or gives me a new card worth same, ive waited ages anyhow

I still am on agp and will be till 2006 so i need a agp G70 XXXX
