For example, Nvidia was trying to WOW us with DLSS on this slide but the first thing that caught my attention wasn't the DLSS performance uplift but the fact that this game struggles without it. 1080p on a 4090 and it only gets 90 fps? I'm guessing with DLSS3.5 enabled, it's likely running at 720p internally or less. Better yet, at 4K it only gets 33 fps native and it's juiced up to 134 fps with DLSS 3.5. Lab tests on an undisclosed high-end Nvidia GPU reportedly granted three times the performance as a normal chip based on standard manufacturing materials, which is insane but a little hard to believe without publicly available benchmarks.
