Nah, they'll just rely on DLSS for performance optimization. 4K with DLSS internally rendering at 540p.
Yeah, I know that feeling. For example, Nvidia was trying to WOW us with DLSS on this slide but the first thing that caught my attention wasn't the DLSS performance uplift but the fact that this game struggles without it. 1080p on a 4090 and it only gets 90 fps? I'm guessing with DLSS3.5 enabled, it's likely running at 720p internally or less. Better yet, at 4K it only gets 33 fps native and it's juiced up to 134 fps with DLSS 3.5. That's gotta be 1080p internal... What kind of world do we live in now??

And they use frame generation. Their silly fake frames. Divide by two with those numbers.

The next thing they'll try to reintroduce as a cutting edge new AI powered feature is interlacing. You know, like 1080i. Backwards we go.

NVidia didn't make the game. That's Remedy pushing the limits of what can be done. Nothing forcing anyone to run at Max settings.

The game is unplayable at 4K without some sort of use of their FG, or DLSS. If I turn every form of DLSS off at 1440p, I get about 50fps. Settle for using the ray reconstruction and nothing else. But, holy, does this game look amazing.

The area of the old city where you are playing Alan, with all the neon signs. Never seen anything like it in a game before.

AW2 seems like the kind of game that will be fun to run in a couple generations with Native AA at 120FPS, but best ignored for now.

Maximum AAA game sales happen years later at hefty discounts so by then, people will have much faster hardware anyway.

Or play now at passable settings if you care about the story and gameplay. The graphics even at lowest settings are not bad. Revisit in future when you have a 6070 or even 7070.

Diamond Foundry is producing synthetic diamond wafers— ostensibly the largest of their kind, at least in diameter— for use with silicon microchips. According to Martin Roscheisen, this allows for those chips to run at least twice as fast as their rated speed. Lab tests on an undisclosed high-end Nvidia GPU reportedly granted three times the performance as a normal chip based on standard manufacturing materials, which is insane but a little hard to believe without publicly available benchmarks.

WAHHHHTTTT?????

This could be the end of AMD and Intel in the GPU race if nGreedia buys Diamond Foundry and uses these wafers exclusively for its GPUs. Of course, I'm just thinking of a worst case scenario. Hopefully, this will never happen.

Ah sure, you can run a 4090 at 9GHz by changing the substrate. Totally believable stuff.

Magically 3x the performance? Sounds like a new DLSS if you ask me.

"Introducing DLSS 4.0. DLSS now stands for Diamond Layer Super Speed, which uses diamond wafers to give 3x the performance as before!"

Finally! Women will be able to gift diamonds to men too!

Hmm... was randomly looking at Newegg and 4090 supply is very low. I imagine a lot of that is because they are probably sending every 4090 they have to China right now, but still.

Already seeing some in the critic sphere and gamer world in general that they might sell their 4090s now that some are going for $2k.
