Hello,
I am exploring a possibility of adding a gaming video card to my current workstation. I am not a gamer by any means and my current system was originally built for virtualization/general use.
My system is as follows:
i7-4770 (non K version) + Hyper 212+
Asus H87M-E
Intel HD4600 video (on-board)
32 GB of DDR3 1600Mhz memory (4 DIMMS)
1x Samsung SSD
2x Seagate 2.0 TB HDD
Corsair CX430M power supply (430 Watts)
I am interested in playing the upcoming Diablo and down the road WoW Draneor expansion and the max settings at 1920x1200 (Dell U2412M). I am a very casual gamer (I play max 1-2 months when I get something new and then I take a break for several months or even a year) so I would like to keep the investment to the minimum. I would like to buy a video card that does not require any bigger power supply that I have and still allows for playing at max settings the above games. Would either GTX 750Ti or R7 250X/260X be able to handle the task for me? I am concerned that most ATI cards require more wattage than my power supply has. Am I screwed there? I appreciate any help.
Thanks
