Adelphia Total Advantage customer retention plan - Save $81!

Hi all,

I currently subscribe to Adelphia "Total Advantage" which includes:
Digital Cable, Digital HBO, Showtime, TMC, Cinemax, Starz, Encore
Powerlink Broadband internet service

I had been paying $99.95 a month, but on the last bill they send a notice that the price was increasing to $102.95.

I decided to downgrade to "HBO Advantage" which is the same as above without Showtime, TMC, Cinemax, Starz, and Encore for $82.95 ($20 less).

The CS lady offered me the "Customer Retention Plan" that keeps me on the original "Total Advantage" plan for 3 months at a reduced price of $75.95.

Total savings of $27/mo for 3 months = $81 - worth a call if you're an Adelphia Total Advantage subscriber.

...and no, I didn't ask for the "retention plan", she offered it when I said I wanted to downgrade my service.

Just a note. The HBO Advantage plan removes your digital channels (100s) and the music channels (400s) as well.

Also, did you call your local office or tha national number?

I wasn't aware of that - you may be right, but it isn't listed on the sheet & the lady said that the only difference was the showtime/tmc/cinemax/starz/encore stations...

Another boo for Adelphia. Totally agree with the "mis-managed by a new set of folks who couldn't hit a bull in the ass with a bass fiddle."

They sent post cards for my two neighbors offering a digital cable deal. But when I called, they said t wasn't for me beacuse I already had regular cable, where my neighbors didn't have any cable service.

Talk about shooting itself on the foot and refusing to get me to pay higher monthly fees.

Now if they hike my regular cable(like the one's above), I'll be jumping over to a satellite dish as well.

Call them up and get a $20 credit. When I was having broadband problems I was getting at least $20 a month.

As much as Adelphia may suck, I don't know anywhere that you can get Cable Internet Access, Analog Cable, Digital Cable and Premium Cable for $103/month. If only DTV didn't have a lock on the NFL...
