People, Does it make sense to even try adjusting the FSB with PC100 CAS 2 memory. I was thinking that I may have some leeway and that it would have to be tested. Is it worth it to try?
Cheers,
Joe
sure, anything that overclocks is worth a try. higher quality cas2 memory will more like operate out of its recommended range, so it doesn't hurt to try. also, setting your ram to cas3 might even increase your fsb increase. good luck joe.
Leave the FSB alone and try the memory at FSB+pci with the memory settings at the slowest. Its possible the CAS2 100 will do CAS3 133. Since nothing else will be affected but the memory its easier to test this way.
