adjusting picture on new TV

I recently purchased a Panasonic Viera TC-P50G25. I have it installed and hooked up via HDMI to a cable box. I like the picture well enough but I've noticed that the top and bottom content is cut off. I know this because on sports programs, the score that usually is displayed on the top left is nearly all cut off. And the broadcast logo on the bottom right is also clipped.

Are there any adjustments I can make to fix this? The manual is cryptic and it appears the only adjustments I'm looking for are under the disabled PC Adjustments menu.

I do have format options like Full, Just, 4:3, and Zoom. I've tried all options but I still can't seem to get a full picture.

Has anyone else experienced this? Can anyone help?

Adjustments for TV's vary greatly from brand to brand, if I were you I would go find the Panasonic forums on their official web site, so you can converse with other people who actually have the same or similar set as you. At least that's what I did when I bought my new Samsung a few years ago and got some really good information on how to set it up properly. I would imagine that Panasonic or maybe the AVS forums would be a good place to start.

Your cable box may have those same settings also. Set the cable box to normal, then just change the settings on the TV to make it fit your TV. That is what I did.
