I just bought a new AMD 4400+ X2 box and was trying to install the Adobe Acrobat tryout on it. Has anyone with an X2 gotten it to work?
I've got:
Windows XP, new installation for this machine
AMD 4400+ X2
DFI LanParty Ultra D Motherboard
2G RAM (OCZ Platinum)
2 250G Hitachi SATA drives in RAID0, with a 50G partition for the OS
Acrobat installs okay, but when I try to run it, I get an hourglass for half a second, then nothing. The only new process that seems to come up is Adobelm_Cleanup.0001, which I presume is some sort of license manager.
The same thing happens with the Premier tryout, so that would also suggest licensing. Also the Acrobat Reader runs fine.
Anyone have any ideas how to get this working?
Thanks, Rich
