Is it even more bloated than 7.0? How can a PDF reader require more than 100 megs installed?

I installed it and it seems to be working well. Startup times are quite fast.
UB meaning universal binary? I just checked it out and it seems to have seperate ppc and intel versions. Or at least the installer is; there's no way I'm going through with a full installation to see what it does.Originally posted by: jdogg707

Agree that it starts much faster than previous versions. Leads me to wonder if some DLLs are kept resident in memory ( similar to the Office feature ). I like the new UI.

Because its more than just a .PDF reader
You can download just the reader if you'd like, and its not 100MEG
I've deleted those entries and it still starts up very quickly. Version 8 is quite simply excellent.they started adding this adobe quickstart thingy to your Startup folder
The reader installer is ~20 MB.IIRC, I did just download the reader, but I'll take your word for it.
