well i hope they at least standardize keyboard shortcuts and icons for all adobe & macromedia apps...
I'm not sure how dead it is...i mean a lot of universities picked it up and are running with it and thats why i thought it was a worthwhile keeper for adobe (and for myself cause supporting it makes me worth a few extra $$$ ). I heard the same thing , as well as Director being dead, but with the release of 2004 edition I'm hoping it don't go away as well Great products, just too expensive, and not enough of a marketOriginally posted by: rh71
ColdFusion is so dead it's not even funny. The only people still using it are those who invested in its pricey server software X years ago and have no option but to save face and keep running it. It's too bad - was great technology that priced itself out of the running...Originally posted by: Drakkon
i say more power to this merger so long as they dont do away with flash or director or dreamweaver or coldfusion. Doing away with ANY of those would make this a dead deal

Do a google/newsgroup search for "illustrator corrupt." See how this problem has existed since the program's inception, across all platforms for years and years. I've never had a single client who could save illustrator files on network drives without corruption. Ridiculous.
I just remembered another reason it sucks...if you try to burn ai files to cd using xp's builtin burning feature, the files get stuck in the temporary directory (can't delete) and you can't burn anything else. The only way to fix is to boot into safe mode and delete them from the temp directory. Pain in the ass... :|Originally posted by: Jehovah

You know, now that you mention it, I've had a few occasions where my files DID end up getting corrupted. It was only occasional, and it did allow me to as .eps, but that makes sense . . ..
