I've been trying this newfangled thing out for a little bit, just while leveling a guy through some World of Warcraft, and I don't know if it ever really settles down for anything, because suddenly the screen pauses for a moment or two - or three, or four.
Although I haven't gotten killed because of this, I would expect the feature to calibrate itself eventually and stop hanging my screen updates...and it seems it doesn't because it still happens after several hours of gameplay. It also doesn't say what voltages it settles at, or if there's even any change whatsoever versus default volts.
And what happens if I switch to a different Wattman profile, does it forget all these new values, forcing me to go through all this calibration stuttering all over again?
And I can't overclock memory with this thing active? Booo! Force a more aggressive fancurve? I like setting max GPU temp to 75 degrees instead of 85.
It's cool AMD is expanding the capabilities of its driver, but the implementation they've chosen seems limited and not all that intuitive. Certainly not informative... *shrug*
Anyone know some indepth stuff about how these auto functions work, or know a place where I can read up on the subject? Thanksalot in advance!
