Love it!

In the sense that the US hasn't been able to get back to the moon in 40 years but a private company has figured out how to turn it into a billboard... LOVE IT!

I bet the first logo will be Bud Light.

terrible idea
we won't see it from earth though unless the image is 1000 miles wide and 500 miles long. The moon is big and full of holes for the robot to get stuck/sent off track anyway. It would also take decades for it to finish. The moon is as big as Australia.

That statement was in an astrology textbook. The moons diameter roughly equals the perimeter of Australia.

The walls of your cubicle must be closing in again. Other posters will google it and they will see that it's a true statement then wonder why you thought it was false.

Figuring out how to do it, and actually doing it are two vastly different things.

"Build a gigantic rocket" is step 1 and it's far from easy and very very expensive.

Because we always compare one object's diameter against another object's perimeter.

I'm all for it, but the creators of this must go along to make sure it's done in an environmentally friendly way. Also, it costs a lot of fuel to move things around in space, so they ought to be limited to an hour of air.

Bwhahahaha!

that is an excellent username : quote combination, haha

I'm not sure what you guys are laughing at. The diameter of the moon is roughly the size of Australia from coast to coast. In other words, if you were to take the continent of Australia (just the above water bit) and put it the same distance from Earth as the moon then they would look the same size.
