I have the computer with the folllowing specs:

AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
Asrock X570 Pro4
Samsung 970 Evo 1 TB Gen3 SSD
G.Skill 2*8 GB PC3200
Gigabyte Radeon 6800 16 GB

and I'm considering upgrading it a bit, but I'm unsure how to proceed. I'm thinking about getting a new CPU (Ryzen 5900X or 5700X3D), getting additional 16 GB of RAM and getting a Samsung 990 PRO Gen4 SSD. I would like your opinion about upgrading.

Those seem like reasonable upgrades. If this is for gaming the 5700X3D is the better choice over the 5900X. The difference between the 980 Pro and 990 Pro in real world use isn't much if you want to save a few bucks. Actually looks like the 990 pro is cheaper right now for a 2TB. Interesting.

Thanks for reply. I would also like to know how much is my system worth, if I sold it with Radeon 5700XT 8 GB card and considering the case Phanteks P400 tempered glass and modular PSU BeQuiet! Pure Power 11 720 W. The computer is from 2019.

With that rig your market isn't a gamer, if so a casual gamer at best.

I would not do an additional kit. Buy one kit that has the amount you need and sell the other. You'll have a hell of a time trying to get two kits (2 dimms per channel) stable. Even if it's the same kit but bought at a different time. With DDR4 a 2x16GB kit will most likely get you a dual rank kit. I have a single rank kit and 2 dual rank kits and there is a noticeable difference.

As In2Photos has mentioned, your better bet for gaming is the 3D chip.

I would go with the 990 drive. Make sure the firmware is updated to the latest too.

An AM4 3D chip with an 7900XTX or a 4080 Super is a good gaming rig @ 1080p

Umm, thanks for the laughs.

LOL Micro Center jacked up the price of the 7800X3D combo to $600? SMH

I don't live near Microcenter. I live in Slovenia and purchase most stuff from Amazon.de. I just ordered AMD Ryzen 5700X3D for 200 €. Also, I plan to buy a searate kit (2*16 GB 3200 DDR4). Totally, this upgrade (new CPU, maybe a new cooler, new memory, new SSD) is going to cost me about 450 €.
You should be happy for years to come. Enjoy!

I think the 5700X3D and extra RAM are good upgrades, I personally would upgrade the SSD unless you just need a second one for more storage.

I already upgraded to 5700X3D and 32 GB of RAM and plan to upgrade to 2 GB Gen4 SSD once Windows 24H2 is out, because I don't want to reinstall Windows two times. I'm in doubt between Samsung 990 Pro and WD Black 850X.

Here's an SSD review. You can check out the metrics of several drives. The Corsair MP700 Pro 2TB is pretty nice

I'm in doubt if is worth to pay more for Samsung 990 Pro because the performance between the two disks is nearly the same. At Amazon.de Samsung 990X is advertised as 7450 MB/s read and 6900 MB/s write disk, while WD Black SN850 is advertised as 7300 MB/s read and 6600 MB/s write speed. I guess those are sustained read and write speeds and doubt I could notice the difference between the two in everday use. At this moment of writing, Samsung 990 Pro costs 165,93 € while WD Black SN850X costs 143,42 €. Of course prices changes constantly and if the difference between the two disk would become lower I would get the Samsung 990 Pro.

Corsair MP700 Pro 2TB is a Gen 5 SSD. My motherboard is a X570 chipset motherboard does not support Gen 5 SSD.

I'd stick with the 970 Evo Plus unless you know for a fact that its throughput is slowing down things you care about.

Of course you might want to replace it for capacity reasons, but that wasn't specified hence my $0.02.
