Just bought i7 860 and an Asus board yesterday. However, I read the reviews on various websites that i860 runs pretty hot with stock cooler. Can anyone recommend a good cooler not too big? Thanks.

no,seriously, am I that far behind in my reading or was this a simple typo? I'm still in 775 mode as I have not yet a good reason (or spare coin) to upgrade. I have built a new case/ nightstand to improve my water loops but other than that I have all the "processing power" I can use.

But yeah any popular tower cooler would work well. Xigmatek S1283, Sunbeam CCF, OCZ Vend2, TRUE, Megahalems, etc. I'd personally stay away from the mega because it's pretty damn big and can make it a huge pain to install and is about on par with the TRUE last I looked

Thank you, BTRY.

Look like it is ok to use stock cooler if not overclock. Wish coolers from Thermalright could come out sooner.
