Cliffs:

I didnt know what a dime bag was.
Im a little paranoid when it comes to drug dealers.
Girlfriends little brother is dealing $1500 a week and getting into fights
Family is clueless about what their son does.

How Im handling it:

I called a friend mine who is a sheriffs deputy in the next county over, he is going to have someone he knows who is a deputy in this county pick him up on his two outstanding warrants and talk to the parents about his dealing. Hopefully he will learn a lesson and my name stays out of it completely.

...if I go to the police he could go away for a long time, or rat someone out and get killed...
For "a dime and a half a week"? You do realize that a 'dime' is ten dollars woth of [insert drug of choice here], right? Fifteen bucks a week is nothing, not something any police force is ever going to look twice at, and certainly not something to get someone killed over. Are you sure you "party hard"?

I call bullshit.

You're under no obligation to risk your own life for this kid. So if you're not willing to put yourself on the line in order to try to help him, then don't do anything. If you are, then go to his parents first. Let them decide whether to involve law enforcement. Chances are, LE will catch up with him first anyway.

And if you're partying hard, then your days are numbered. You may think you know how to stay out of trouble, but the law of averages is not on your side. You need to quit that stuff as much as he does.

Also Im sure terminology varies depending upon location.

Pretty sure that in reference to drugs, "dime" is $10 no matter where you are. Anyways, I would think you'd know this if you "party hard".

How about you talk to him and explain to him what he's doing to his life and where he's headed if he keeps it up, and let him make his own decision? Or tell his sister. Either one of those two is better than getting involved yourself.

A dime bet is $1,000... a "dime bag" or "dime sack" or anything of that nature is $10 worth of whatever drug.

I laugh at the people who are giving the OP hell for not knowing his drug terminology. Not necessarily a good area to be intelligent in.

Let his parents or the police deal with him, whoever catches him first. If you must report him then tell his parents before you tell the police unless it's an emergency.

Write a letter to his parents on the puter. Don't reveal identity in the letter.

Place the letter on a parent's car or in their mailbox. Or anywhere the kid won't stumble upon it before they do.

He's moving $1500+ a week?!?!? I don't believe that, especially at that young of an age.

edit: Well, I suppose that much/week isn't that outlandish, but I think he's a little young for that much.

Don't even bother with him. Allow his lifestyle to determine his deathstyle.

My cousin was in and out of juvy and jail most of his life. He got into heavy stuff left and right and had a lot of problems. He really tried to clean himself up once or twice and then went just right back.

Finally, his parents got him out of town. He now lives about an hour away. Never sees his old friends. Made some new friends who weren't out of control and he finally has been clean for a few weeks. Made a lot of changes. Getting out of the cycle really helped him. Maybe it is time for his parents to get him out of town.
