Hi all!

I am buying a new computer and just picked all the parts. My budget will be around €500,- I will be buying from this website http://tweakers.net/pricewatch/ The PC will mainly be used for gaming. I'll probably get all from this site, i can buy from anything that delivers freely to holland. I plan on ordering in 6 days
The specs I have thus far are:
PCPartPicker part list: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2xsDY

CPU: AMD FX-4130 3.8GHz Quad-Core Processor ($79.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: Asus M5A78L-M/USB3 Micro ATX AM3+ Motherboard ($54.99 @ Microcenter)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($69.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($74.97 @ OutletPC)
Video Card: Asus Radeon HD 7790 2GB Video Card ($129.50 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: Antec 450W ATX Power Supply ($37.98 @ Amazon)
Total: $447.42

I don't have a monitor in mind yet, but i plan on using 1920x1080

Thanks in advance!

Not bad. Remember, US$ are cheaper than €, so you still have money in your budget. Perhaps for an SSD? Or are you going to use that money for a monitor?

I'd recommend something like this (sourced from your site, so the prices should be pretty accurate):
Intel i3 4130
Asrock H81-DGS
Curical Ballistix 2x4GB
Gigabyte R787OC
WD 1TB HDD
Fractal Design Core 1000 USB 3.0
Corsair CX430
Dell S2240L
Total: €608

Plenty of power, even though the graphics card is last generation, and a solid monitor.

Looks nice, an i3 4130 and 7870 is a really nice jump from an FX-4130 and a 7790. Though it's not clear if the OP's €500 budget was counting the monitor or not.

I'm gonna buy a Sapphire HD 6870 from a friend, so thus far, I'll be spending about €558 euros. This is a list of everything together (excluding the GFX card): http://tweakers.net/gallery/570611/#tab:wenslijst

So I'll have about €40-€50,- left, could I spend that on a cheap 64GB SSD? If so, any recommendations?

I'll be honest with you. An SSD should have between a tenth and a quarter left empty for best performance and longevity (see this Anandtech article). After an operating system, you'll have room for like one AAA game at best.

If you can just save that money and get a 120GB SSD, I would wait. Or stretch the budget 30€ and get something like this Crucial M500.

I would say 60GB would be enough for Windows, frequently used apps like Skype, Chrome, Word and 1 big game (15-20GB) or a couple of smaller ones including League of Legends. I, right now, run a 60GB SSD with the above on it, and I've still got 26GB of free space.

120GB won't hurt though if you want to spend the money on it.

IMO, either replace the HDD with a M500 240GB, adding an HDD later, or wait and make an SSD a later upgrade. You can do the work to not put much on the SSD, but it's not hard to fill up space with the OS and games. Windows, by default, is typically 20-30GB (~14.5GB+hibernate+swap), games vary enough in size that one could be 2GB or one could be 30GB. Without any 3rd-party mods, FI, The Witcher 2 is about 15GB, and Skyrim is 13GB. With games like that, even w/ just 1st-party updates and DLCs, space can disappear quickly.

Alright, regarding the SSD. I think 120GB will be enough because right now I only use 90GB of which about 30GB that I don't need. So I'll skip the WD and just buy the Crucial M500 120GB.

But I just checked and the HD 6870 needs 2 PCIE-pins and recommends a 500W PSU. So Instead of the CX430, will the CX500 be a good choice?

And what about this case? http://tweakers.net/pricewatch/320102/corsair-carbide-200r-closed/specificaties/

The 430 should work fine, but the 500 isn't much more, typically, and a factory overclocked 7870 could need both sets. The 500 is definitely a bit better of a unit.

I wouldn't buy a dual core for gaming in 2014, and that mobo is the definition of cheap and nasty - ALC 662, and only one PCI-E slot that isn't even 3.0, no front panel USB 3 either. It apparently has solid caps, and er, that's all. No mention of phases or the VRM quality either.

As counterpoints, an i3 will hyperthread to four apparent cores, so it works fine in multi-threaded games (and CPU is hardly limiting at 1080p), he isn't even using a graphics card that supports PCIe 3.0, front panel USB is a luxury, especially if it's included in the back, and pretty much any audio option within the case is going to be inherently inferior to a external DAC because of their proximity to large amounts of interference, so if Xizzux cared about audio quality, he'd go with an external DAC anyway.

But yes, it is pretty much the definition of cheap. Gotta fit everything in the budget somehow.

The OP also only has 600 euros to spend, including monitor. The H81-DGS is certainly no frills (at all), but it fits in the budget and allows money to be spent on other parts that make a difference in gaming.

The XFX would have been better, but there's nothing wrong with the CX500. Certainly not worth the hassle of returning since you've already got it in-hand.
