Hello everyone, so I find myself with a potentially dead Motherboard. Back in 2012 I built a rig with:
i5 2500k
Cooler Master Hyper 212
ASUS P8Z68-V Motherboard
EVGA GTX 570
8G Corsair Vengeance LP DDR3
Corsair TX 750 PS
1TB HDD
90GB Corsair Force GT SSD
Corsair Obsidian Case
It will no longer power on when I press the power button. I did all of the basic trouble shooting (cables, connections, power, clearing CMOS, etc..) and verified my PS is good leaving me to believe my mobo is bad. I also tried removing everything except the CPU and power and attempted to power it on using the power button the motherboard and the case switch with no luck... Seeing as LGA 1155 boards are somewhat scarce, in your opinions should I just replace my Motherboard and stick with my 2500K sandy bridge or do a new build with AMD CPU/Mobo (only bc its cheaper than intel) ? Note I am primarily a console gamer and like to play the occasional PC game.
