Advisability of Screen Guard on Tablets

Hi all. I have a 4th Gen iPAD A1458 with Retina display and a Samsung Galaxy GT P7300 8.9 Tablets. Is it advisable to put screen guard on these devices? Could a screen guard compromise the colour reproduction and/or touch sensitivity?

Both of them are possible - lower quality color reproduction and degraded touch sensitivity. Check out the reviews from those who have actually used the screen protectors.

I do not think there is (or will be) a consensus as to if screen protectors are necessary. It is up to you. I personally do not use them, but if I must I would choose protectors made of glass. They used to cost a lot but nowadays their prices are more reasonable. As long as you purchase high quality protectors (again, check out the first-hand experiences) you should not have a problem with colors and touch sensitivity. But many people use tablets without screen protectors just fine as well.

Thx for the response. Actually I've also never used screen guards, not only on these tablets but also not on my Samsung S4 and the display screens of my Canon Powershot and Canon IXUS cameras.

But I'm traveling/vacationing kinda rough for in this last week of February :awe:and I was apprehensive of any permanent damage to the screens. I'll follow your advice and try to locate first hand experiences.
