Screw all you tailgating haters. Who you should hate is the people who drive so freaking slow in the "fast lane."
If the OP tailgates people in the fast lane good job, because I do the same.
Slow people in the fast lane suck.
It's one thing if someone is tailgating in heavy traffic or if the person is going at or above the speed limit. There's no excuse or reason to tailgate then. But if the person in front of you has wide open road and there's no one in the center/right lane they should move over (unless turning soon of course).
I live in FL and if it's not some greyhair with over-the-top sunglasses it's some moron on their cell phone. They drive under the speed limit in the passing lane, drift lanes, ride their brakes for no reason, don't use signals, sit at green lights until honked at, etc, etc, etc... Some people are just too old to drive and others can't carry on a conversation and pay attention to the road at the same time.
Hey a Robor sighting
How do you like the guy that says he tapped on his brakes yet at same time says that is not the reason guy behind "slammed" into him???
I oughta be able to tap my breaks without some asshat talegater crashing into the back of me... Tapping breaks isnt a reason for an accident... tailgating is. If you tailgate someone so closely that you cant stop if they do, then you are breaking the law and are completely at fault for the accident that follows.

Try reading the thread.
The guy claimed that he just tapped on his brakes and that didn't cause the guy to ram into him.
He did a whole lot more than just "tap" them.
