Have you considered the BIOSTAR TForce965PT? It doesn't have any of the frills you mentioned, no Firewire, SLI, etc... but has had some great reviews. It isn't the best overclocker, but I'm not sure how important that is to you.

Overclocking is fairly important to me, I just want the best performance possible out of the processor. I am not looking for Ultra performance however, so I'll never go raid or SLI and I don't have anything that uses firewire. My goal has been to hit 3.2 Ghz off the E6400 though and it's sort of a fun thing to try my best to achieve it. Thanks for the suggestion though!

BTW eWiz has the DS3 in stock for $129.78. While you're there, might as well grab the Enahnce 5150GH PSU, for only $69.01. It will handle everything you have listed (It's the same PSU Howard suggested earlier, and has some really great reviews.)

Thanks! one last question about this Enhance 5150GH PSU
Are the cords long enough? I have read the Antec P-180 is somewhat large and requires good size cables. Also this product seems too good to be true, it's very cheap will it really be able to power a system as well as the OCZ 600W? I have read that the GeForce 8 and the overclocked CPU to 3.2 will be very power hungry.

I actually suggested the ENP-5140GH.

I'm sorry I can't answer those questions for you I'm ordering it this weekend, so I can't attest to the cord length yet.) Also, my new system will have a 7950GT card, which I know for sure it will handle, but I haven't researched the GF 8's at all.

These would be good questions to ask in a new thread specifically titled for the Enhance. I know there are a lot of owners of this PSU in the forums so I'm sure you will get good response that way.

My bad! The 400W is an even better deal, but do you know for sure if either will handle the system requirements he had?

It will.

EDIT: Actually, now I'm not so sure. The +12V rails have hard limits at 16A and 18A respectively. Guess which one the CPU goes on? That's right, rail 2, with 18A. What the ******?

So we've got just the processor on rail 2 and EVERY GOD DAMN THING ELSE on rail 1... all 16A worth. TDP of the 8800GTS is ~12A, HDs are ~0.5A a piece, optical drive ~1A, and motherboard 2-3A. Zero ****** headroom. God, just another example of Intel screwing people (but why did Enhance set such silly limits?)

I am going to go with the 500W just to be somewhat future proof.
Last couple questions on this:
1.) Are the cords long enough for an AntecP180 case? (need to be decently long I have read)
2.) If I add a TV tuner card will this still hold? I am so worried about 500W because everyone I have talked to so far said I have a GeForce8 to make sure to have at least 600 Watts.
Thanks again, this PS will save me a ton of cash.

Who is giving you this advice and why do they keep changing their story?

hehe, didn't mean to make it seem like that, I've been told for a GeForce8 to have a bare minimum of 500 Watts PSU but to make sure to have at least a 600 watt PSU to make sure things go well, especially with an OCed processor. If this PSU can handle the GeForce 8 / 2 hds / tv tuner / etc. then I am more than happy to save some cash on it. I just wasnt sure with everyone I talked to before telling me to go high wattage.

Can anyone recommend a good TV tuner to use with Vista. I'd like to be able to record / watch local HD TV programming on my computer.
