After Windows Fall update 1709 my Windows 10 grew to 62.4 GB used should I increase my C partition ?

Right now my C partition is only 70.7 GB with only 8.31 GB free. My C partition is mainly only for my OS but applications too. If you think my C partition is to small just say.

My other question is will Windows 10 grow even larger as more future updates come out ? Thanks.

BTW my SSD is 512 GB but right now my other part of the SSD partition is 405GB for all my games. I could shrink it and give some to my C partition if you all think it is necessary. I only install maybe 4 to 5 games tops. With the biggest one being BF1.

Have you run the disk cleanup wizard to get rid of the old installation (assuming you're sure everything is working since the upgrade)?

No but I will try that thanks. I did check the folder to see if there was any left over stuff but only 28.8 MB of stuff maybe desk cleanup wizard will find more.

This update also turns on the hibernation file even if it was off before. For a 16GB RAM system it is a 12GB file. You can turn hibernation off by running powershell as an Administrator and executing the command "powercfg /H off"

After the disk cleanup, run this command in command prompt as admin:

Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup /ResetBase

It will take 45min+ to run but will clean up more than the wizard itself.

Just as a note, this will remove the ability to uninstall any windows updates. just an FYI not that many people do

Although I do not know how much this will clean as it cleans out all the old duplicates in winsxs folder. If its a "fresh" install/upgrade there is not much difference between any updates and the base
Base here being 1709
