Aftermarket fan for my E8400 with stock heat sink

I would like to know if anyone makes a fan that will spin more rpm's and will mount directly on my stock heat sink for my E8400. I would like the fan to be a 4 pin connector also. I feel that my stock heat sink is very decent for performance, but the stock fan only spins half the rpm's of the fans that were on the old pentiums. Maximum speed for my fan on the E8400 is only 1950 rpms.

This should be in cases and cooling. I will move it for you !

well you could just go to a site that has a lot of fan choices and find one the same size...not sure waht mm the stock one is....a higher rpm will have higher airflow but also louder.....if you are planning on spending like $15 or so on a fan why not spend $30-$35 and get a much better hsf that goes together and gives you much better performance than just a new fan? Just an idea....not sure about prices but directron usually has a lot of choices.

I like dino's suggestion. Just spend a little extra say get a AC freezer 7 pro which is small and well designed not too expensive. Or a Hyper TX2 by coolermaster also cheap and much better than stock.

I thought about going with the Arctic 7 freezer pro, but I have seen some people saying that it wasn't any better than stock in some cases. I also like the way the stock fan and heatsink blows air directly at the heat sink instead of on the side. You can feel some to the air dispersing out and cooling the motherboard heat sinks also. Also, I already disabled smart fan. 1950-2050 rpm is the maximum this fan will spin for me. Maybe I am being too cautions. What temp. is acceptable on the E8400 running at 3.6 gig fully loaded on stress prime 2004. Mine gets up to 60 degrees Celsius.

Then get an apline 7, downdraft 92mm 36cfm PWM, or bump up to a Big Typhoon VX if you want to really up performance with a down-draft.

Besides that, 60C is very acceptable. You don't get into dangerous terirtory till 70C. Cooler is always better though.
